Justina Chen and David Li were married October 21, 2017 at the beautiful Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch in St. Helena, California. California sweet and simple. We designed a clean color palette of white with pops of navy and Burgundy that added the right amount of color to their modern chic decor.

From the bride…
David and I both have demanding jobs, so our top priority after booking the venue was finding a wedding planner that understood what we wanted and that we could trust to manage our wedding planning from New York. When I spoke with ROQUE Events for the first time, I immediately felt they understood our low-key vibe and knew how to create the warm, intimate atmosphere that we wanted. David and I were confident about big picture ideas but, admittedly, were bewildered when faced some small decisions, like what type of napkin fold we wanted. ROQUE sent us incredibly detailed questionnaires that helped us make some decisions and helped them decide the remaining ones for us.
We booked our florist, wedding cake, and hair and makeup team on our own, and I designed our wedding invitations, seating chart, and programs. Carly suggested an awesome DJ and helped us coordinate shuttles for our many out-of-town guests. The weeks leading up to the wedding were very busy at work for me, but Carly kept everything moving along and sent us helpful updates and reminders.
Two weeks before our wedding, the Napa and Sonoma fires broke out. After the fires finally started to be contained, we were still unsure about our wedding day, especially from 3000 miles away. Carly reassured us (multiple times—thanks Carly!) that they were monitoring the situation and would keep us updated. The week before the wedding, we were told by all vendors that they could move forward. In a real life miracle, it rained two days before our wedding, improving the air quality greatly.
Our wedding weekend was like a dream. Having one of my childhood best friends officiate our wedding was one of the best decisions we made, as it made everything feel relaxed. The pacing of our wedding was perfect. We’d told Carly that we wanted to spend as much time as possible with our guests, so she and Justin arranged for us to take the bulk of our wedding photos before the ceremony. The transitions between dinner courses and speeches, and moving to dancing and cake cutting were all seamless, and I am still amazed that ROQUE was able to cue everything perfectly without inserting themselves visibly into the process. We truly can’t express enough our gratitude and admiration for the amazing people who made our wedding day possible!
